There is so much to do in your luxury cabin rental that you might be tempted to stay in all weekend. Your kids can enjoy a movie on the big screen in one of our cabins with a home theater; challenge you to a game of pool; help make dinner in the fully-stocked kitchen; or sit out back on a rocking chair, listening to ghost stories while drinking hot chocolate at night. While we fully endorse an entire weekend of R&R at the Elk Springs Resort, there is plenty to go see and do if you can yourself away from your luxury cabin rental.

Downtown Gatlinburg is just a short drive away from our cabins in Gatlinburg, making it easy to access at any time of day. Kids absolutely love Wonderworks, which claims to be an amusement park of the mind, and is certain to keep your kids busy. Located on the Parkway, you can experience an earthquake, design a roller coaster, or explore outer space, all in one location. Take the lift up to Ober Gatlinburg all year long to spend a day exploring the top of the mountain. In the spring there is plenty to do, including an ice skating rink, arcade games and much more.

Do your kids love the outdoors as much as we do? Then they will get a kick out of becoming a Junior Ranger at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For just $2.50 your kids can pick up a Junior Ranger booklet and fill out the activities inside; once you are finished, stop by a visitor center, chat with a real Ranger, and get your own Junior Ranger badge. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

When you have worked up an appetite, head back downtown to enjoy tons of delicious restaurants, ice creameries and candy stores galore. You simply cannot go hungry in Gatlinburg! Or you can stop by any of the area’s grocery store to pick up all the fixings for a delicious home-cooked meal out on the gas grill.
